It would be interesting to see the OZ per bar when they first marketed compared to now. They do a great job of hiding the product size and making it seem insignificant.
Strategy: Make a great tasting bar. Get people loyal with special pricing on the boxes of bars in the grocery stores. Then, shrink the size, one step at a time, while keeping price the same. Most won't notice. We certainly did.
Very disappointed, will not buy this bar or any other Nature Valley products in the future due to this deception.

(More customer reviews)Think crunchy peanut butter vs. creamy..that's the type of peanut butter flavor you'll get.
These bars are good, but not great. I prefer the other Nature's Path bars that I've tried over this variety. You're not getting the omegas like you'd get in the flax variety and it seems like more fat/sugar than it's nutritionally worth.
Honestly, you could eat a 'Zone' bar or something of that sort for it's calorie/fat content in this variety.
I love Nature's Path, but wouldn't purchase bulk of this flavor again.

(More customer reviews)I really enjoy the flavor and texture of these candybars, but don't be fooled by the natural look of the product and packaging. These are all "treat" and no "snack". Nature Valley is blurring the lines between the once distinct categories of granola bars and candy bars. This product certainly falls into the latter category, but appears to be marketing itself into the first.
Ingredients include a host of flavor enhancers and sweeteners that "healthy snack bar" types might be trying to avoid.
We have 22g Carbs, 7g Fat, 3g Protien and 170mg of Sodium
"Glycemic Spike" and "Water Retention" come to mind...
Check out these ingredients:
High Maltose Corn Syrup is the second ingredient, sugar is the 4th, High fructose corn syrup is the 5th. Also in there is wheat flakes, fructose, honey, milk products and soy lecithin. As for the good stuff, we have almonds as the first ingredient, rolled oats as the third, crisp rice as the 6th. There are other ingredients as well, surely listed in the product description here on Amazon.
One peave regarding the product packaging which states that the bar is "dipped in almond butter coating". Well, I eat almond butter (instead of peanut butter). The "coating" they refer to is more of a white "sugary milk product coating" with a little almond mixed in. It is nothing like "almond butter".
Overall, this bar packs the salty sweet flavor punch it boasts and the texture is fun. Just beware (or be aware) of all those "other" ingredients when you buy.
