It would be interesting to see the OZ per bar when they first marketed compared to now. They do a great job of hiding the product size and making it seem insignificant.
Strategy: Make a great tasting bar. Get people loyal with special pricing on the boxes of bars in the grocery stores. Then, shrink the size, one step at a time, while keeping price the same. Most won't notice. We certainly did.
Very disappointed, will not buy this bar or any other Nature Valley products in the future due to this deception.

(More customer reviews)This is the best, most fragrant coffee bar I've ever tasted. For a while now, I've been very afraid that General Mills had discontinued the Caramel High Rice bars. All I could find in stores are the Latte and Mocha Chocolate. Those are good, but the caramel is the best. General Mills and Caribou Coffee outdid themselves with this product. I often have mine with a cup of Community Coffee's Instant Caramel Cappuccino. You would think that would be a bit too much caramel, but it's not. The coffee taste is more like the Mocha Chocolate, so the combination of those two are a bit much. I recommend that before you savor the great taste of the bar, open it and sniff it first. Then proceed to eat the bar slowly savoring each bite. It's a great start to the morning and an excellent way to make a grand day.

(More customer reviews)I spoke with General Mills today (twice, before I got the real scoop). Caribou Coffee bars are no longer being made. CALL THEM at 800-248-7310 and tell them how disappointed you are! Maybe they will bring them back. Truly the best tasting bars ever made. I've been having one for breakfast with my coffee every morning for over a year. I have just one bar left, perhaps I should save it to reverse-engineer the recipe, or sell it on ebay for a small fortune?

(More customer reviews)I really enjoy the flavor and texture of these candybars, but don't be fooled by the natural look of the product and packaging. These are all "treat" and no "snack". Nature Valley is blurring the lines between the once distinct categories of granola bars and candy bars. This product certainly falls into the latter category, but appears to be marketing itself into the first.
Ingredients include a host of flavor enhancers and sweeteners that "healthy snack bar" types might be trying to avoid.
We have 22g Carbs, 7g Fat, 3g Protien and 170mg of Sodium
"Glycemic Spike" and "Water Retention" come to mind...
Check out these ingredients:
High Maltose Corn Syrup is the second ingredient, sugar is the 4th, High fructose corn syrup is the 5th. Also in there is wheat flakes, fructose, honey, milk products and soy lecithin. As for the good stuff, we have almonds as the first ingredient, rolled oats as the third, crisp rice as the 6th. There are other ingredients as well, surely listed in the product description here on Amazon.
One peave regarding the product packaging which states that the bar is "dipped in almond butter coating". Well, I eat almond butter (instead of peanut butter). The "coating" they refer to is more of a white "sugary milk product coating" with a little almond mixed in. It is nothing like "almond butter".
Overall, this bar packs the salty sweet flavor punch it boasts and the texture is fun. Just beware (or be aware) of all those "other" ingredients when you buy.

(More customer reviews)This is the first review I've ever written, but I'm getting desperate! I love these Caribou bars, but can't seem to find them anywhere anymore! The Chocolate Mocha is my favorite. They have a wonderful texture with a sweet coffee flavor that is just right - not too sweet like those bars aimed at kids, and just enough coffee flavor. I can't wait till they are available here!
