I didn't like this version of granola bars mainly because the honey nut ones tasted like soap. The reduced sugar granola bars are far more superior.

If you CAN get this cereal at your local Costco, then DO - it's insanely cheap and has been for years. Otherwise, get this 6 pack and sign up for subscription delivery and it's the best price you'll get outside Costco. Still 50% more expensive, but hey... you gotta have your granola right?

I'm a student and I love this deal. It works out to less than 45 cents per bar. How sick is that?? The only problem I have is hiding the box from my roommates. Does amazon sell safes?

Quaker Chewy Granola Bar, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, 10-Count Bars (Pack of 12)

These taste great, I was eating them for years.
As I said, was.
Unfortunately, Quaker is using partially hydrogenated oil (in English, that means trans fats).
While they claim 0g Trans Fat, they're rounding down anything below .5 grams. There's no way to know if each bar has .1g or .4g... Quaker won't say.
All those .4g add up in a day, as everyone touts "0g trans fat". So, in all, I had to stop eating them. Quaker Simple Harvest bars do not appear to have any trans fats, and I suggest those as an alternative. Unfortunately, they're much harder to find... and more expensive.

Quaker Chewy Granola Bar Low Fat Oatmeal Raisin, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 12) Review

Quaker Chewy Granola Bar Low Fat Oatmeal Raisin, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 12)
Average Reviews:

I stumbled across these in the grocery store today, after having purchased the 25% less sugar chocolate chip version. Surely there must be a tasty oatmeal raisin equivalent, my stomach wondered. Sure enough there is! Just 90 calories, 10% less than the chocolate chip version?! Sounds promising I thought. No high fructose corn syrup, 0 g trans fats, sign me up! Upon closer inspection, these granola bars aren't quite as healthy as they're advertised; they still contain corn syrup, though not "high fructose" corn syrup, as well as a bunch of preservatives, oligofructose, polydextrose, and various hydrogenated oils. Minus 1 star.

Taste wise, they're terrible compared to their low fat chocolate chip brethren. There's nary a raisin to be found, and somehow, the oatmeal to barley/rice ratio is very low on these compared to the chocolate chip version. If I wanted a barley/rice bar, I wouldn't have bought a product that said "granola" on the front. Additionally, the bar is very dry; I think the lack of a nice fat (chocolate chips) definitely leaves something to be desired.

Don't buy the 90 calorie oatmeal raisin bars. Buy the lowfat 100 cal chocolate chip ones if you truly must have "lowfat", but I'd recommend just getting the full-fat, tastier regular Quaker bars. It's really only just a 40 calorie difference, and you can teach yourself some better self-discipline.

Quaker Chewy Chocolate Chunk Granola Bars Forty-Eight 0.84-Ounce Bars Review

Quaker Chewy Chocolate Chunk Granola Bars Forty-Eight 0.84-Ounce Bars
Average Reviews:

I like to grab a pair of granola bars in the morning as I head to work and Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Chocolate Chip make a good choice for this type of breakfast. They offer a decent amount of nutrition for such a small amount of food and the ingredients are mostly wholesome. Combined with a small amount of milk or other beverage to wash them down, they make a great way to start the day. I also like the sweet, grainy taste and the chewy texture, which is better than some of the crunchy granola bars that can often be a chore to consumer.

Even though I like Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Chocolate Chip very much, there are a few possible drawbacks with these granola bars. The first one is the fact that they are not very filling. If you don't plan on eating lunch for a long time afterward, then you might want to reconsider Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Chocolate Chip because they are likely to result in a growling stomach in a relatively short time. The reason is because they lack sufficient fat and calories to keep you going for very long. The other potential drawback is the addition of high fructose corn syrup in the manufacturing of this product.

If you are worried about budgetary restrictions, you will be pleased with Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Chocolate Chip. These bars are not very expensive and the surprising fact is that, compared to other granola bars, they often rank in the bottom half in terms of overall cost. This is surprising when you consider that they carry the Quaker label. A premium, quality name like Quaker should, one would assume, carry a premium price. But Quaker has managed to keep costs under control and it offers these granola bars for a price that is lower than most other name brands.

Granola bars will likely remain part of my daily eating routine and Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Chocolate Chip rank among my favorite breakfast bars. The ingredients are a little worrisome, and the carbohydrate level is too great for those on low- carb diets. But these are still very tasty bars and they are priced right.

Quaker Chewy Granola Bar, Chocolate Chip, 10-Count Bars (Pack of 12)
Average Reviews:

I'm not a big fan of the new type of Quaker Oats granola bar; lot's of barley/rice filler material, not many oats. However, the chocolate chip is the best tasting in my opinion- well, maybe it ties with the peanut butter chocolate chunk. There are enough chocolate chips in the bar to give the moist fattiness that we all desire, yet the chocolate chips are small enough such that you don't feel too guilty eating them. Maybe that's a bad thing, because it encourages you to reach for another.
The granola bars seem a bit smaller than I remember, but there's plenty of flavor packed inside. These aren't too healthy; still a lot of corn syrup (though no "high" fructose corn syrup as they stress), fructose, dextrose, hydrogenated oils, etc.. Not intended to be a meal replacement bar (unless you ate the whole box), but they're a tasty, traditional snack.

Quaker-Chewy 90 Calories Variety Pack, 48 ct Review

Quaker-Chewy 90 Calories Variety Pack, 48 ct
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like a lot of people these days I am trying to eat better. I pretty much have it down as far as recipes for a healthy breakfast through dinner. Snacking between meals has always been my true downfall. No matter what it is we do for a living it seems we are relentlessly bombarded with the sight and display of candy bars and other gooey concoctions wailing their sirens song wherever we venture too. (I happen to work at home but believe me, that doesn't help). I first picked up some of these Quaker bars at the local market here. At first they didn't set too well with me. Considering they were following the act of a snickers bar or peanut butter cup. Trust me when I tell you however that you do get used to them rather quickly and they are not all that bad. The main thing I enjoy about them is their chewy consistency over a lot of other dry crunchy cereal bars. The moist chewiness is a real crowd please when it comes to fooling you into thinking that you're eating something downright decadent. And for something that is good for you, they have a real taste to them that is most pleasing. Especially if accompanied by a nice cup of coffee or tea. I eat one usually around lunch, after dinner, and later in the evening anytime I get the munchies while watching TV or working. (Which is just about all the time).
Amazon can sometimes be a little scarce on their nutritional info, so please, allow me. These bars are low in just about everything that is bad for you, (and unfortunately makes real candy bars taste so good). A single bar contains about a 100 calories, (not the 90 advertised, not according to the nutritional info supplied anyhow), 3 grams of fat, (1.5 saturated), 75 grams of sodium, and 18 grams of carbs. They are just about half of any so called protein bar in all the right places as far as bad stuff, and even lower than fiber bars as well. These cereal bars may not be as tasty as some of the other alternatives as far as health bars are concerned, but they are certainly both less fattening and a lot cheaper than the tastier alternatives as well. If you buy a couple of boxes at once here on Amazon, the shipping is only like a dollar more and a real bargain. I highly recommend these bars if you want to eat healthier and are not all that fussy about the taste of what is better for you. Enjoy one or two with a cup of coffee or a glass a milk and they make a tasty, better alternative to junk food you will come to look forward too...
